CineStoria: Italiani per la Libertà

There are Italians who said “NO” to oppressive powers.
There are Italians who fought for a free Italy,
even paying with their lives.
With “Anti” as codeword: Anti-Fascismo and Anti-Mafia

CineStoria project, promoted by Dante Amman, aims to tell about Italian people who fought during the Italian Civil war (Resistenza) and against organized crime through two masterpieces of Italian cinema: “Roma città aperta” and  “I cento passi”.

Bruno Cantamessa, writer and journalist, will help us understand and empathize with the historical events these movies tell about.

The dates:

  • Saturday February 2nd: “la Resistenza. Italians against the Nazi-Fascism”
  • Saturday February 9th: movie “Roma città aperta” (Italian with Italian subtitles)
  • Saturday February 16th: “Anti-mafia. Italians against mafia”
  • Saturday February 23rd: movie “I cento passi” (Italian con with English subtitles)

Time: from 4pm to 6pm

Place: at Dante-Amman center
